This Thanksgiving, I’m heading to see family in Wisconsin. We usually keep things pretty low-key, but I can never resist an excuse to dress up in a festive Thanksgiving outfit – especially when there’s an opportunity to wear a skirt this beautiful. Layering plaid flannel with warm toned sweaters is such a quintessential fall look, and these colors are so perfect for keeping things festive. A bright red skirt will carry you through the whole holiday season to every party and event you may be attending, so it’s actually a great piece to invest in.
I am already in full-blown Christmas mode; I’m talking blasting Christmas music in the car, attempting to wear coats when it’s 65 degrees, and wearing bright red lipstick to early morning classes. This is my favorite right now because it’s not matte, so it’s really comfortable to wear. I think I need to find a great matte red lipstick soon, though; any suggestions? I love how this one perfectly matches my skirt; that’s what Christmas dreams are made of!!
Anyways, I’m supposed to be talking about Thanksgiving. I’m attending a friendsgiving this weekend, and I’m going to attempt to make homemade cornbread from scratch – like, with an actual can of corn in it. I like to think I’m famous for my baking skills, so here’s to hoping that I don’t screw it up and ruin my good reputation.
I can’t wait for a break from school – senior year has been so much more difficult and demanding than I anticipated. I want to chug full steam ahead with holiday blog content, but with finals right around the corner, I’m worried that I won’t have the time to make it happen! Let me know what you’d like to see from me in the next few weeks; gift guides, holiday outfits, sale roundups, holiday makeup looks? I’d love to dip my toe into video content soon, so if you’d be interested in anything specific in that department, I want to know!
What are you up to for Thanksgiving this year – and more importantly, what are you wearing?!
