Hi, I’m Aoife Laughlin, and welcome to my blog!
Polished & Pink is an attainable style, beauty and lifestyle blog for the average lady; because we all deserve to feel fabulous, no matter the budget. My goal is to help every woman look and feel her very best every single day – without dropping thousands on designer goods. I hope reading Polished & Pink feels like talking to your best friend!
The thing I love most about reading other blogs is learning more about other girls’ personal lives. I don’t know why I’m so interested, but I guess it’s just nice to learn about like-minded ladies and what they get up to while killing it in this awesome blogging world. I’ve been a religiously devoted blog reader for about six years, and I finally got up the courage and motivation to join the fun myself. Welcome to my cozy little corner of the internet; grab some tea and a blanket and I’ll tell you a little more about me.
I’m currently a senior at a Philly-area University, where I’m majoring in Marketing and minoring in English. I love to create content and write – that’s why I’m here! I have no idea where I’ll be a year from now, which is pretty dang terrifying. (anyone got any job leads? I’m all ears.)
I’ve loved makeup for ever and ever (read all about that here), and when I graduated from high school and didn’t have a uniform for the first time in twelve years, you better believe I fell in LOVE with dressing myself. No more baggy khaki pants, baby! My style is classic and a little bit preppy and I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t like. I definitely inherited my stripe obsession from my Mum and Nana; two stylish ladies that I adore.
I’m a midwesterner at heart; I only moved to the East Coast when I started college, but I don’t think I’ll be leaving anytime soon (sorry Mum and Dad!). My Mum is from the southern coast of Ireland, where I’ve spent almost every Christmas of my life, so it holds the most special place in my heart. I get more homesick for my Nana and Grandad’s house in Ireland than I do for my parents’ house in Indianapolis!
I was born on Valentine’s Day – and it totally describes my gpersonality.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!
